Low temp 35.4 - is this normal/ok?

I've been feeling somewhat unwell since last Tuesday with a pain in my stomach and after eating or drinking, feeling like I want to be sick. Sunday I was up all night with what felt like a dodgy stomach like a yo-yo. I have an autoimmune disorder so didn't know if it's something I've eaten as for the last 5 weeks been gluten and dairy free (trying to see if it helps the fatigue I experience) and on Monday, we did eat out somewhere...

Tonight I thought I would take my temperature as I felt fairly warm yet my DP walked in from work asking why the heating wasn't on as it was 'freezing' - I hadn't noticed and thought it was on!

My temperature on an oral thermometer is 35.4 C. Does anyone know if this is normal or low or what for an adult in her late 20's? Google isn't helping

I've tried to get an appointment at the doctors yesterday but with the current issues at hand, it's pretty much impossible. I am reluctant to call 111 tonight as I've no one to do the school run should they keep me in and whenever I have called 111 in the past they send an ambulance due to my medical history and I feel resources could be best used elsewhere than on me.

Have you had your DP take their temp with the thermometer just to check if it is reading accurately?

Other than that if you are concerned call 111 that's what they are there for especially if you have an underlying autoimmune issue to start with.

No I've not - I'll get him to try but it's fairly new as at Christmas DSD was unwell and I brought it to make sure she wasn't getting worse/help me check how warm she was as my hands are generally always cold

Reluctant to call 111. I'll try the GP again in the morning on the way of dropping DSD to school. If no joy and still feel no better, I'll have no choice but call them given it's over a week of being crap!

Conditions like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis are said to cause a low body temperature

Feedthispiggychoc · 11/03/2020 22:31

@evilcat I've lupus and APS with reoccurring bilateral PEs - haven't heard of Hashimoto's thyroiditis before

underactive thyroid ( the common type -autoimmune ) is it's more usual name.
Have you had your thyroid function tested recently?

Feedthispiggychoc · 11/03/2020 22:52

@katielilly I believe it was last tested in September and was 'ok'. I might push for another one when I next see my consultant
