Does this merit a trip to the GP?

I've been experiencing some fairly minor symptoms, and am swithering about going to the GP. I had a couple of appointments in the summer to investigate persistent tiredness, and after numerous tests/scans I was given a clean bill of health. The tiredness mostly resolved itself after about four months. I'm worried that I'll get a reputation as a timewaster / hypochondriach if I go back with my new list of symptoms!

Basically I think I have some (but not all) of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism, BUT I don't have a goitre, some of the symptoms seem to come and go (eg persistent thirst), and my thyroid levels were checked last summer: FSH 2 and T4 11 which apparently are in the normal range, although T4 is maybe a little on the high side according to my googling.

I'm also going through a slightly stressful period at the moment, so wonder if it might "just" be anxiety.

I need to just go, don't I? :-(

Before any smart Alec picks me on it Grin , the persistent thirst that "comes and goes", means that for weeks at a time I'll get a raging thirst in the evenings, but not all day.

Well, whatever you've got I've got it as well (almost identical test results and v similar symptoms) so when you find out what it is, let me know, because my GP is stumped Grin

Yes, it is probably worth another visit.

Yes, go, there are a number of possibilities that can be looked at. Even without a definitive dx all of this should be in your chart.

Well that's curious Dusti! If you don't mind sharing, how old are you (I'm miss 40s, so wondering if any of this might be perimenopause).

And yeah, I'll make that appointment.
