I highly suspect I've got hypothyroidism. Have all of the symptoms, and a random blood test from my fertility clinic just showed me that I also have an elevated platelet count which is apparently a symptom. I always have a temperate below 36.2, my hair is falling out, I'm tired, have chronic depression etc. I also always have inflammation in my blood and they can never explain why.
The issue is that when I've had my thyroid levels checked, the levels seem to be normal. I don't feel I can go back to the doctors and ask for more tests, even though I think they just did the basic t4 (from looking online the best ones seem to be TSH, free T4, free T3, TPO antibodies and Tg Antibodies). I feel like they don't take this seriously.
I don't have a lot of money, but I want to get this sorted. Does anyone know how else I might get this looked at properly? I'm in London - is there someone good I can go to for a diagnosis? It seems like in general GPs are crap at understanding this condition - especially if T4 is within normal range?
