Sodding Homeopaths

Rant alert.

Well the allergic contact dermatitis isn't clearing via normal methods and I'm really not keen on keeping up the hydrocortisone and antihystamines for much longer especially as I'm breastfeeding.

So thought I'd try and contact a homeopath. Those that are contactable on a Saturday (okay, so that's a fairly tall order as GPs aren't available at the weekend either, but considering how much you spend at a homeopath appointment and how every ad in the phone directory I've tried said sensible accessible appointment times which I would have though implied Saturdays and evenings) are completely booked up for the next couple of months!

Not exactly helpful.

Grr. Argh.

But surely this is an indication of how popular they are - and they wouldn't remain popular if they weren't effective. So at least you know that you have a good to middling chance of success when you do manage to get an appointment.

Can you get a referral to the Royal Homeopathic Hospital from your GP? OK its in London but its free and even if you have to wait may not be any worse than what you've been told to wait anyway. Mind you, I went there years ago and decided then that Homeopathyis useless each to their own....

London is a bit of a way to go for it. I ended up ringing the homeopathy helpline and then picking up the suggested treatment from the local homeopathic dispensary. Not as good as having a proper appointment where they see you and cover all bases, but hopefully might do the trick.

Just want the itch to go away! Obstetric Cholestasis was actually more bearable compared to this!!
