I've just had surgery for removal of gall bladder (just under two weeks ago) and I'm still not feeling great. The wounds have all healed nice but I have this pool of blood near 1 of them. My GP said would eventually absorb.
Anyway I still feel quite tired and ave an ache round my bra strap area and I keep wanting to take deep breaths and feel like sighing. It's a little sore when I do this and when I yawn.
I was thinking this is just down to the internal healing that's going on but my pal has got me worried the blood thingy has moves in lungs and is now a pulm??ary embolism.
Surely I'm being silly.
Iam feeling low in mood too.

If your GP was not concerned about the pool of blood, then I wouldn't think you have anything to worry about. The wanting to take deep breaths sounds like anxiety. Perhaps your doctor would give you something to help you feel calmer for a while, just until you get back to normal.

I sort of expected to be up and running around after DS nearly 4 and DD11 months by now.
I had keyhole.
Iam tbh a worrier.

I think the GP was describing a post-operative collection in the bed of the gall-bladder, but didn't do it so well.
When you had your op you would have had a drain left in place for a couple of days to allow the seepage of blood etc to be drained from your abdomen. Sometimes the drain is taken out / falls out a bit early, but there is no point replacing it as the body will absorb what is left eventually.
I say eventually as it can take some weeks if not months to do this.
This will mean the area is a bit more painful a bit longer, which in turn leads to it being more painful to fully breath in, which can leave you at risk of devoloping a chest infection. This can make you feel below par.
So, get things checked out with the GP to rule out a chest infection, but also ask for an ultrasound referral for a few weeks time to ensure the collection is getting smaller and not just sitting there making a potential area for infection to develop.

Hi thanks for all your advice.
Spoke to my g.p today and she thinks it's just residual irritation in the area where my gall bladder was. She reminded me that although keyhole it's still surgery and my body needs time to heal insise as well as out.
She also said to take it easy when I can as running after two little ones can't be easy.
I've to give her call if have any worries.
She said would take a few weeks for me to feel normal.
