Advice on poorly 10mo please

Hi, wonder if anyone has any suggestions. My 10 mo has been off her food for 2 weeks (milk only after being a great little eater) and for the past week has been sick occasionally, runny poos occasionally, the odd high temp, looks dreadful and isn't sleeping well at all. She just isn't right. I took her to GP and had the old, 'she's fine, keep an eye on her etc.' Is there any point taking her back to GP? What might it be?

When did you last take her to the GP? Is there any chance of maybe seeing a different doc if she's still poorly after the weekend?
My mother said that once my older brother had diarrhoea for ages, and she kept thinking he'd get better. Then one day she looked at him and realised he looked like a ragged child - hollowed eyes and so on. Took him to GP and did get something that made him better.
When dd has been poorly like that I have tended to make sure she did eat soemthing that would not aggravate her stomach, like toast, bananas, grated apple, or rice.
Hope you get some good advice.

I took her on Wed, our GP is very dismissive and tends to feel that only missing limbs are a reason to make an appointment! They tell me they have no appointments until Wed (oh and they shut on Wed pm!) so I'll probably take her to the out of hours GP over the weekend.

I think that if you are still concerned that is the best thing to do. Hope you get seen and all is well.

I think after a week of diarrhea, most GPs would take a sample of one of her stools to get it checked and make sure it is not a bacterial D&V (as opposed to viral, which should clear up on its own). If you are worried, go back and see a different doc. You know your kid best.

Good luck
