Has anyone done one of these and can walk me through it please?

Is there a chance of getting the all clear at the end of it or is it always a 2 week wait.
I am seeing a consultant then there will be tests I have read online that it will probably be an ultra sound due to age rather than a mammogram.
and there is likely to be a biopsy with a fine needle.

I like to plan ahead and i think the uncertainty is because I don't know what to expect.

@Darell04 how did the appointment go?

Darell04 · 17/12/2019 20:06

Hi everyone. Had ultrasound which showed nothing too suspicious but biopsy to confirm. Should have results within 2 weeks. Overall, the process was faster than I expected and everyone was lovely. Sounded very positive too so I'm hopeful :) thanks for asking xx

That is sounding positive. A shame you have to wait over christmas to get the results but it's good they are being thorough

Good luck tomorrow OP. Will be thinking of you. Let us know how you get on!

It went a bit weird. Had a consultation. Dr felt lump thought it was just normal tissue. Had an ultrasound which confirmed it was normal breast tissue just that bit is more raised.

So it's very good news in that it is nothing to worry about. I just have a new lumpy friend who lives there now.
Thanks for talking me through it. Not going to pretend it wasn't awkward as but it's over now and all is fine.

So did you have the operation on the same day as the one stop clinic?
