Avoiding Dr Google but should I be concerned?

Regular poster but nc in case I discuss this IRL.

Today I'm not sure if I put the keys in the front door when I got out the car or whether I left them there while I was out for 3 hours. They were probably left there. Then I took stuff out of the car. When I came out of the house 3 hours later, I had left the car door wide open. I popped out in the car for 10 minutes. When I returned, I found I hadn't locked the door on the way out.

I am not usually that forgetful. I have done similar occasionally in the past but not all on one day!

I do have a lot on my mind and I'm tired. I've also been having muscle twitches in different parts of my limbs a lot recently. Could be nothing.

I am not someone who has anxiety about health issues. I'm generally well.

I'm mid 40s and currently on sertraline, if that's relevant. I only switched to sertraline from another AD recently.

Do I just try and keep track of things or speak to the GP?

I suspect it is down to you being tired and a bit run down. Have a week of early nights, eating well, taking vitamins and see how you feel.

INeedNewShoes · 12/12/2019 23:50

I would keep a record of all these incidents. If you are any worse tomorrow I think you should see the GP (ask for an urgent appointment).

It might be nothing but it could equally be something that needs investigation.

Not to be obvious but what’s on the leaflet for your new meds?

I switched from citalopram to fluoxetine and had twitching, the worst restless ever and general brain fail for a few days. I don’t drive though, that would be my main concern.

So maybe check the leaflet and ask GP for a phone chat if they do those?

Montyman · 12/12/2019 23:55

I get low b12 which is made very obvious by brain fog, general forgetfulness, tiredness and my body feeling like it can’t catch up. Might be worth getting some blood work done to rule any deficiencies out.

AutumnRose1 · 12/12/2019 23:57

*restless legs that should say!

Aquamarine1029 · 12/12/2019 23:57

I think your issues might be peri-menopause related. Have you considered this?

slipperywhensparticus · 13/12/2019 00:00

I got foggy on sertraline I made lists and have key routines like where I keep my keys for example I have hooks and bowls and notepads its all very efficient

Radicalradiator · 13/12/2019 00:03

What on Earth are you going to google? Surely you’ve just had a bad day?

orangina · 13/12/2019 00:52

I was also going to say peri menopause..... it's like pregnancy brain all over again...

(the joy Hmm)

twolungs · 13/12/2019 21:17

I think it is a side effect of sertraline - short term memory.

Perid0t · 19/12/2019 10:09

Sertraline made me feel like I had lost my mind. I put the baby monitor in the food cupboard and all sorts of random crap. I thought I had a brain tumour or dementia. It was hideous. Came off them and went back to normal.
