A few weeks ago I started having a pain on the left side of my chest sort of under my boob but lowish down, was made worse if I laid in certain positions at night but at other times wasn’t there at all. It wasn’t strong enough to really catch my breath, but sort of made breathing in past a certain point quite uncomfortable.
It was accompanied by a sort of ache in my left arm and neck so saw a GP who advised that chest sounded clear, oxygen levels and BP were all good etc, advised it could be a pulled muscle or could be anxiety.
It went away for a week or so but is back again, same position, my left arm is definitely achier than the right, the ache is across my collarbone too and almost feels like it’s in my throat.
I do have a lot of stress factors but these have been continual over the last year and are not anything recent.
I had asthma as a child (had a few attacks, blue enhaler, but wore off when I was a teen) could it be that it has come back? I don’t feel wheezy, I have had a cough but it’s not constant.
Any advice or suggestions appreciated,
I think I do suffer with health anxiety, have asked GP for bloods a few times as have been tired a lot in the past and blood always come back fine. don’t want GP to think I’m wasting their time if I go back to ask about the chest issue again but equally would like to get to the bottom of it as it is bothering me.
