Spotting between periods breastfeeding

Hi just wondering if anyone else is experiencing spotting/irregular periods whilst breastfeeding?

I'm feeding my 18 month old who still feeds quite often some days and 3-6 times a night.
Periods came back 3 months pp and pretty regular. Around 9/10 months pp I started spotting around 5 days before period on & off but this isn't unusual for me as I had this before being pregnant.

I also had a really early period CD17 but it then sorted itself back out. I've just come off my period & now have slight pink/red spotting so I have a feeling I'll be getting AF early again!

Has anyone else experienced this and could it be down to breastfeeding hormones? I know I need to go to docs but I'm mega scared after googling 😩 I have my smear soon so I will mention it then.

Definitely have a smear. Is there any chance you could be pregnant?

No I don't think I could be as I've had my regular periods. Hoping it's just my hormones messed up with feeding & also getting about 5 hours broken sleep every night 😩

Hi... I know this is old but did this settle down for you at all? I'm 8 months pp and spotting all the time. It's driving me mad

Hi I've just seen your comment! It didn't stop but I managed to get pregnant & now since having my baby things are back to normal & no more spotting. Must have been hormonal! X
