Spine MRI

Just been to neurologist and they've referred me for a spine MRI mainly due to bladder incontinence and trouble with balance. Problems lasting 2.5 years.

Does anyone know what they are looking for? The brain MRI showed mini-stroke but was clear of MS symptoms and the doctor said its not MS. Blood tests have been pretty normal. Neurological tests show issues with balance etc. They are also are testing B12 - fairly certain that was normal before.

Doctor implied MRI will be fairly quick but said results will be 4 months as they are behind. Thanks.

Did they find anything Screenburn?

Had mine and couple of blood tests today B12 and TSH. would be surprised if they find anything but we will see, follow up not until mid March.

Still no results back, told big delays in reading MRIs.

Just got results back today after 2 months Shock

The spine MRI is pretty normal, they said just some wear and tear from old age - in my 40s Grin, but glad don't need operation or anything. Follow up mid March.

Technical version:
Some exaggeration of the normal thoracic kyphosis, but alignment in the sagittal plane is otherwise unremarkable. No sinister bone marrow signal shown.
In the cervical spine there is mild discovertebral degenerative change causing slight narrowing of the central spinal canal at T4/5, C5/6 and C6/7. However there is no compression of the spinal cord and CSF is not effaced from around the cord. There is also slight narrowing of the exit foramina at these levels without convincing evidence for nerve root impingement.
Facet joints and intervertebral discs are well preserved through the thoracic and lumbar spine with no central spinal or exit foraminal stenosis.
The spinal cord itself images normally and no abnormality is shown at the craniocervical junction. The conus terminates at L1 with a normal configuration.
