I have no idea TBH, but I remember reading some very good and informative posts about asthma by Georgina, perhaps if you do a search you may find them

Is it more difficult to breath out than in?

With asthma it is generally more difficult to breathe out. The lining of your tubes thicken and this makes the breathing difficult.

Do you think you could have pulled a muscle? It sounds like that to me (what do I know though!).

Maybe take an antihistamine once a day, to help with any allergies.
DS2 has been hospitalised twice in a year with severe breathing problems.
The pollen is particularly bad this year.
The antihistamine has really, really helped to dampen down his reaction to it.
His peak flow readings improved within 24 hours.
