Levitating poo- the blighters will not flush away!!

i am trying to help my piles by upping my fibre and taking fibregel but the consequence is that my poos don't flush.

it is bad enough at home but i am terrified of it happening when i am at someone's house, can you imagine the indignity of it?! i am going more frequently now too and the urgency is more immediate.

i was on the verge of needing to use a nappy bag to dispose of one this morning - how gross!

has anyone ever experinced poos that are lighter than air??

Yep, it's the fibogel that does it. Perhaps you should reduce the number of sachets you are having per day temporarily, but keep up with the increased fluids. That should enable you to go but not have unflushables.

Would placing the toilet paper on top of them may help to sink them down?

Anyways... vole3 solution is much more reasonable

MyPoorSoreBum · 18/08/2007 17:26

thanks vole3, i figured that was the problem and have bought a packet of allbran and lots of fruit and veg to take in place of one of the sachets.
isabel, i tried sinking it with loo roll and it withstood 4 flushes!!

Holy! glad it didn't float up to the ceiling

SlightlyMadStar · 18/08/2007 17:59

Too much fat can make them unflushable (more so than fibre I thought).

If you are at home keep a bucket in teh loo and tip the whole thing down the pan if necsessary. The greater volume of water all at once should help it to pass...
