Why am I so dizzy?

Hoping someone might have better advice than Dr Google.

For the past few weeks, I seem to be having frequent dizzy spells. Before they were occasional, but these past couple of days it feels as though every time I stand up or walk it's like the whole world is spinning. It makes me feel sick too. I've been coming down with the cold so thought it might be to do with that, but does anyone have any other ideas as to what might cause such constant dizziness?

Clearly not the menopause but could be hormonal. I had terrible dizziness in the perimenopausal stage when I was getting sudden influx of oestrogen. Now that I am finally in the menopausal part, the dizziness has completely gone.

It could be that you have large influx that gives you the dizziness and then the sudden drop that leads to the hot flushes.

The dizziness was caused by a sudden drop in BP/Heart Rate, which was in turn due to the Oestrogen.

Get checked out at GP. Mine was after a cold vestibular neuronitis lasted five weeks before the dentist gave me antibiotics which cleared it up.
