Buggery bollocks - DS's beautiful new top milk teeth are slightly chipped. Boo hooooo!

He was holding onto the bath (on the outside) biting the rim, and he excitedly head-butted it. He has chipped the very edges of the two front teeth He seemed totally fine after a couple of minutes crying, but we've got an emergency appt with the dentist tomorrow anyway.

I'm gutted. And on a practical note, I can feel slight roughness when I'm BFing him.

I really hope they don't recommend removing them

Aw, poor ds.

They won't, although they might smooth them down and that'll cause some yelling. I've often thought DD will end up this way with all her biting onto metal things! Poor you, and poor DS too!

Your poor lo - how old is he?

Unless they're very chipped they'll leave them . dd fell over and caught her mouth on a stone step aged 2 , chipping hers , but they evened out eventually.

I'm sure they won't remove them . Maybe smooth off any roughness, if that's possible or advisable, but I shouldn't imagine they'll do anything else.

Poor ds and poor you.

I doubt very much if they will recommend removing them. Dentists will always advise keeping milk teeth as long as possible. Maybe somebody more qulaified than me will be along in a mo to reassure you further.

Hope your little man is ok, you musyt be feeling very , but I am sure you will soon start to think it is just a very cute part of him.

My cousin broke off her permanent two front teeth when she fell on my head - they are still lodged in my head. She looked a total tool (she was 10). So don't feel too bad!

I took him to the dentist this morning, and she had a quick peek and said that they looked like they would be fine. She said that they rarely intervene with milk tooth injuries.

It does still feel a bit rough on the boob though, but am not developing callouses yet

Oh, and after I posted yesterday I heard him crying, and he'd been massively sick everywhere And he continued having a pukeathon into the early hours. And again after breakfast.

He's really not having a good weekend. Poor little sausage.

Oh it's gutting isn't it? Dd did this to one of her front teeth when she slipped and banged her tooth on the sink. Ds chipped the same tooth as dd on the fire guard so at least they match!

Oh dear, How awful My ds bumped heads with his cousin today and bashed his 2 front teeth in. Look at my thread on it.
