lower leg pain

For the last 2/3 months I have had pain in my lower leg every evening. The leg isn’t sore or tender to the touch and poking or rubbing doesn’t make the pain any worse. Nothing seems to alleviate the pain and it’s driving me mad now. I can’t get a GP appointment for another 3 weeks. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Can you see an out of hours GP? I wouldn't wait that long to see a doctor, I think you have already waited a long time. Otherwise a Minor Injuries department.

Could be a range of things. I second minor injuries unit. Can’t velieve it takes 3 weeks to see your GP. Are you in uk? Most I know have same day appointment system now. Any pain in foot? Pain only in evening? Any redness or swelling of leg? Is one calf bigger than the other? Did you injure leg initially?

No injuries at all and no pain in my foot. I don’t think there’s any swelling and no redness. I’ve woken up this morning with a dull aching reminder of the pain but it’s not as bad as the evening. And up until now it’s definitely only the evenings that I’ve had the pain. I am in the uk at a very busy doctors surgery

You don’t have the classic warning signs for DVT. But if you get swelling, redness etc get immediate medical attention.
Book in with doctor when you can anyway.

If I was to hazard a guess I would say it could be plantar faciitis.

Often affects foot but can just be felt in calf. Symptoms vary a lot.

Try some calf stretches and get some orthopaedic inserts for your shoes from the chemist.

Consider getting a remedial massage or seeing an osteopath.
