your temp isn't as high because you've taken parecetamol, that doesn't mean that the problem has gone.

Lougle · 02/09/2019 22:54

Additionally, with sepsis, or any infective process, temperature can be low rather than high.

Nobody can advise you here, because we're not with you, we don't know how you actually feel, we can't see you. I do know that if I listed the symptoms you have, I would want someone to tell me to be seen. I work in ICU and sepsis is our 'bread and butter'.

Go to the dr. Ring and get an emergency appointment

iamtinkabella · 03/09/2019 09:51

ive sent the doctor an online consultation form and im going to walk to the pharmacy when im ready. I feel really poorly and my finger seems to be getting worse. Ive tried to take a picture of it but its not showing up well at all on the pictureAngry

You really need to see the doctor. Get better soon.

PotteringAlong · 03/09/2019 11:43

Have you seen a medical professional now?

iamtinkabella · 03/09/2019 12:31

@PotteringAlong @HappyHammy No apps available at GP they said they would ring back if they get a cancellation.. which is unlikely. Going to head the pharmacy now.

I wasn't snarling. I was just confused as to why if you feel like you're dying, you wouldn't go to hospital. Which is why I put the confused face.

KaleidoscopeEyes · 03/09/2019 19:53

Thanks for telling me to bore off though.

stayathomegardener · 03/09/2019 20:23

What did the pharmacist say?

Skinnyjeansandaloosetop · 03/09/2019 20:28

Like a PP said- maybe whitlow’s finger? DH had this when he was quite ill with a flu like thing. www.google.com/search?q=whitlows+finger&client=safari&channel=iphone_bm&prmd=insv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwid6dH7sLXkAhUMQxUIHRx7DDMQ_AUoAXoECBAQAQ&biw=375&bih=553&dpr=2

iamtinkabella · 04/09/2019 08:49

pharmacist said it was probably an infection. It seems to have gone down a lot now but i still have a high temperature and really upset stomach. Im assuming i just have a lind of flu like bug and i shouldn't of linked my symptoms to my finger being swelled. DP is badgering me to go to a walk in centre and told me hes worried but think ive just blew it out of proportion.

Just googling Achenbach syndrome and I'm very interested to read your comments. This happened to me this week. I've been in contact with my doctor and I have to forward photographs as she says she has never heard of this syndrome. I'm 56, going through the menopause and had a parathyroidectamy in January. Otherwise fit and healthy.
