Prolonged vaginal bleeding

I've been bleeding for nearly 4 months, I know it's something the Dr's would want to deal with, I just keep on hoping it stops.

DH won't come near me and reacts to my bleeding as if it's the end of the world. I've also had oedema for a few months, a few times when my bladder has felt irritated, plus I literally get no notice I need a wee then it's you need to go now.

I had a STD test to support a friend earlier this year, didn't need one, it all came back clear.

I really don't understand why it's going on so long.

You need to go to a doctor. I’m not medically qualified so cannot offer what it may be, but would suggest you seek urgent medical advice. Your DH does not sound supportive but deal with your health first before you decide what to do about him. Good luck and get well soon.

The doctors is correct :-) Probably hormones, and the Pill can help. If heavy they may prescribe Noristhetine(?) - so spelt that wrong! - it stops bleeding. Have had the same, couple of days of pill, bleeding stopped and never returned. Dr can check for other things ie infection, abnormal bleeding, arrange for scan if necessary etc. Try and see if your surgery has a GP that focuses on womens health, as from my experience they diagnose in a more targeted way than hit or miss, try this pill first and we'll trial and error what works. Better if you can see gynaecologist, but that costs, but they can discuss the right approach for your needs without pushing the treatment du jour. Well, they have more time to!!

You absolutely need to see your doctor, but I think you know that. I can completely understand that you were hoping it would stop, but four months is long enough and it needs to be checked out. Can you ring up this afternoon and make an appointment?
