Tooth replacement

Has anyone else had a large molar removed and feel they can’t live with a huge gap? I had a molar our in May and aftera pretty horrible experience I am left with a huge gap that has almost healed, but am still struggling to eat on that side and it just feels very odd still. My dentist has not suggested any replacement but am wondering what other people did and how much it cost or will I have to just learn to live with it ?

I have missing molars on both sides at the bottom. I got used to the gaps pretty quickly (I have my wisdom teeth which possibly helped) but now have a flexible partial denture on both sides. It’s basically a false tooth that clips to the neighbouring teeth, times two, no plate. Each one cost about £300 privately. A better option is probably an implant, but I didn’t want to have that surgery.

FWIW my dentist never suggested or recommended a replacement for the molars and I had the gaps for ages before asking about the dentures - because of where they are in my mouth they can only be seen if I did a huge yawn without covering my face.
