So has your GP referred you yet?

Beetroot · 08/08/2007 10:10

hmm - I don't think this can be the same - I am allergic to sun cream it seems. Is at it's worst in the summer and wearing sun cream. a tiny drop gets in and that is it.

But also weepy when tired i think

deaconblue · 08/08/2007 11:19

I do remember and I bet it's the same eye. Mum had this when a rose bush poked her in the eye and years later she still has to have eye drops and it gets sore when she's tired. Horrible. Dh's scratch was in his blind eye and he's actually ripped his cornea - ouch

chipmonkey · 08/08/2007 12:12

Cod, while waiting to see the surgeon, put lacrilube ointment (not drops) into that eye every night. Should help to heal it.

that's the stuff mum uses, was wrong about eye drops. how is it today?

ahundredtimes · 09/08/2007 23:38

EXCUSE ME.

I seem to remember saying 'It's because you of that scratch you got, the one from ds3, the one you told us about.'

Oh no, you said all grand and full of your fairy wash tab theory, oh no. AND THEN, condescending but kind 'But good memory.'

Am I world famous eye surgeon?
No.

Was I right?
Oh yes.

Now tell me you're sorry. Thank me. Do it.

lol.

You have to re-create the scene. Like role-play. He has to sit where he was, and you where you were, and see which eye was most likely to have been scratched. Will be fun.

ahundredtimes · 10/08/2007 12:47

But you should probably wear dark glasses this time, or swimming goggles. Yes, swimming googles I think.

Ok.

We can do that.

Take some chlorine from your paddling pool, throw it about the bedroom a bit. Leave very wet odd socks on the floor, and a few tissues.

You and ds3 take a shower in your swim suits.

Get ds3 to scream and refuse to sit still while you put his socks on.

Speak in Brummy accents (perhaps you already do.)

Stuff a pillow up your shirt.

Then lights, camera, action ROLE PLAY.

Will come back to you. Will be like muscle memory.

ahundredtimes · 10/08/2007 13:45

And, if they were there, you'd better get ds1 to flick ds2 with a towel and for ds2 to whine constantly at you about getting something from the vending machine on the way out.
