for a child to have this without really seeming ill and without having the rash on face?
dd2 (18months)has a lacy/ringed type rash which keeps appearing and fading around her body.

My niece had it and didn't seem ill and never had the rash on her face.

It is a really strange rash
I showed my mom and she has never seen anything like it.

Take her in. My niece's was diagnosed by their paed - children go to paeds for just about everything in the US.

It keeps coming and going and popping up elsewhere so wasn't sure if it was worth taking her.
I am off to work soon so will have to see if dp can sort something out.

If he can pop in, she could even see a nurse for a quick look. Can't hurt!

my 2 had this and yes that is the rash that comes with it lol, my 2 had it on their face and all over their bodys, u will find it gets warm after activities or after a bath or when they are upset etc, and also for the record both my children seemed well with it

The Gp said it is nettle rash and she has a sore throat.
Is that the same thing as hives?

Hives is the same thing as nettle rash. Also called Urticaria.

Is often an allergic reaction, so Piriton would help.

it can be an allergic reaction to a virus - so if she has a virus causing a sore throat, then her immune system is in overdrive and causing the hives
