Apart from Imodium what can I take to stop me shitting myself. Ten hour flight.

So I'm now on day 3 of very poorly tummy. Dd also affected. Been taking Imodium from the start. Just didn't make it from the bed to the loo in time in hotel room.

Have a 10 hour flight in 36 hours and worried I still won't be better. It's diarrhoea not sickness so I can't use a bag. What if there's a queue or I need to go when the seatbelt sign is on?

I prefer natural remedies. I use sharp cheddar cheese and soda crackers.

Stop taking it - it's not working because whatever is in your body isn't getting out. And the illness is continuing.
You need to spend the next 36 hours letting it work it's way out. Then take immodium on an empty stomach two hours before you leave for the airport and eat nothing (ideally) until you're home.

Please don’t try and travel if you are sick. I’ve spent several hours today at work talking via satphone to doctors and eventually requesting a priority landing and paramedics to meet us as someone did exactly that and travelled while ill. We were flying back from a tropical holiday destination.

Aircraft cabins are very dry and will cause enough dehydration to make you significantly worse if you have D&V. If you have a temperature too you will have to be inspected by the port authorities on landing as potentially being contagious. If you have a disease such as dysentery rather than food poisoning you risk infecting the people around you. A doctor in your resort should be able to examine you and declare you fit/unfit to fly. If they declare you unfit then the airline won’t accept you but your travel insurance will cover you and assist with travel plans.
