My doctor thinks I may have it (low hb, bone pain, bloating).
I have been for the blood test today so will know early next week.

Would be grateful to know what symptoms you had, how you were diagnosed and what you can and cant eat.

TIA

I have it!

Diagnosed 6 years ago, and it has changed my life - I didn't realise how ill I was feeling until I was better, ifyswim.

If you are coeliac you must be very strict about avoiding gluten (ie not just wheat, but all gluten including barley, anything malted etc.). I've been able to reintroduce oats, but this was after I'd been gluten free for a couple of years, and my sister who is coeliac can't eat oats at all.

www.coeliac.co.uk is a very useful site, and you can join once you're diagnosed.

I mostly stick to a naturally gluten free diet (fish, meat, veggies, fruit, rice, quinoa, & dairy produce are all naturally gluten free). But you can buy gluten free products in the supermarket as well. Once you're diagnosed you can be prescribed it on the NHS, but TBH, NHS bread and pasta is just horrid. Would you like to know the best brands for gluten free food, or prefer to wait until you're diagnosed before I go into too much detail??

thanks the becster, I will come back to the thread if it comes back that I am a sufferer. I am hoping not as its looks like a major life change and I absolutely dont want an endoscopy have seen enough patients have to go through that.
The websites are great thanks

I'm coeliac - diagnosed for 9 years after 5 years of sever joint pain. although the diet can be a pain at times, once you get used to it its really not that bad, and to me, well worth feeling really well for. There are some great gf products out there now, so you don't have to go without.
