My GP has referred me classed it as Urgent but not under 2 weeks. How long generally would be the wait ? Thanks

The two week wait remains in force for suspected cancer from referral being received to assessment.

Eighteen week target is elective referral to treatment time. So from point of hospital receiving referral to first treatment. This doesn’t necessarily mean the full treatment and might be, for example physio prior to a knee replacement.

The 31 day target is from first receiving confirmed cancer diagnosis to first treatment.
The 62 day target is from urgent (two week wait) referral to definitive treatment for cancer.

Our local breast clinic is extremely effective and sees everyone within two weeks, even routine patients.

Female relative was referred urgently for a breast lump. It was about 7 weeks till she was seen.

Rang appointment department today, good job I rang. My doctor had not sent the referral through . She did everything except press sent at the end. They said everyone is seen in breast clinic within 2 weeks regardless . I have been given an appointment June 19th .
