Kids are so disgusting! What am I supposed to do? Worm her with drontal?? Seriously, anyone had problems with worms before? Does she need a prescription or can I get away with a quick trip to the counter at Boots? Any suggestions greatfully received!

threadworms?

ovex for whole family
wet dust and hoover house
ensure hands washed before eating
clip all fingernails short
wash bums every morning (whole family)
do for 2 weeks then repeat dose of Ovex

Blimey HedTwigg, almost tempting to live with them! Thanks for the advice, will get going straightaway.

Got rid of ours just with one dose of Ovex, most of a single dose of Pripsen for BabyDragon and nowt for me. And cut fingernails. If they'd lingered I might have made more of an effort but they didn't and I'm lazy...

TBH, it was a nightmare getting the Pripsen into BabyDragon so I wouldn't fancy your chances with a non-weaned baby anyway.

DS2 had them. I took him to the Dr. all very straight forward. He gave us all 2 tab each (can't remember what they were). 1 straight away, another in 2 weeks (i think, or maybe it was one week). I cut nails anyway, Dr said really no need to go scrubbing and washing everything. That was 1 year ago, no probs since. So I would suggest an appt with Dr.

Hi, the Doctor told me to eat lots & lots of garlic when dd2 gave me worms when I was pregnant (its always him) apparently that was how the romans used to get rid of them. DD2 had them again and gave them to dd3 when he was 6 months managed to get one dose of pripsen down him but wouldn't fall for it twice. Go for the Ovex chewable tablet (2yrs+), grown ups can just swallow them.

Wash all door handles too, especially the loo ones, wear pants at night, wash all bottoms first thing in the morning. Now I just medicate DD2 and the rest of us make sure to be really clean. Seems to work. The worms must just really like DD2
