Itchy, stinging feeling at wrist. No visible rash or soreness. Any ideas?

Since this morning part of my wrist feels itchy and stingy. What is strange is that there is nothing there at all. It feels like an insect bite or sort of like when a cut is healing and is both sore and itchy.
Any ideas on what might cause it?

Have you changed washing powders or soap or anything, OP? Or been wearing anything like jewellery or a watch that might have caused a skin reaction.
