Atrial Flutter and Tooth Extraction

Does anyone know if sedation and local anasthetic (for tooth extraction)is safe for patients who have had past atrial flutter and who takes Bisoprolol 5mg daily?.
I rang G.P who left a message for me at reception telling me it's a question for the hospital. The hospital tell me I can't make an appointment as they need to know on booking if I'm having the sedation and local anasthetic on arrival. My dentist said to talk to the hospital dentist but that would be when I'd booked appointment and arrived for treatment.
I'm really at a loss and going round in circles. Sorry if am rambling. I know I need professional advice but just wondering if anyone here had any knowledge around these issues and how I can get some kind of answer to it all?

Midazolam (sedative) shouldn't be a problem. Lidocaine (local anaesthetic) shouldn't be a problem. Adrenaline (vasoconstrictor in local anaesthetic solution to make the anaesthesia last longer) might be a problem but the doses administered are tiny, and you are taking a beta-blocker that should minimise the effects of adrenaline on your heart. I'd imagine there'll be more adrenaline being secreted by your adrenal glands than there will be in the local anaesthetic injections.

Your dentist really ought to be able to tell you whether it's safe, or at least tell you what the risks are so you can give informed consent. The dental hospital cannot ask you to consent to treatment - including the pre-meds - without informing you what the treatment involves and what the risks are, and they can't undertake any treatment without your having signed a consent form.
