Seizure whilst sleeping?

So, I've no history of epilepsy either in myself or family.

The other night my partner said I woke him up by what appeared to be me having a seizure then i apparently told him "I've bitten myself".

I his words I was shaking, rigid and unresponsive, I've also got very little to no recollection of this.

Is this really something I need to see a Dr about? Should I perhaps mention it to the practice nurse in my appointment in a few weeks?

Anyone else experienced this?

You should definitely see a doctor abut this and I wouldn't leave it a few weeks.

I have night time seizures, I've had epilepsy all my life.

You need to phone the doctors and in the mean time, keep a log if it happens again.

Hmm, I thought he was overreacting telling me to get checked out so I thought I'd gauge other people's opinions.

I've been fine since, I hadn't been drinking before the incident either which I believe does sometimes cause these "fits" in people.

I'll try get myself an appointment but they're probably not going to be able to do very much.

Thank you for the responses Flowers

I had night time seizures in my teens. My epilepsy way hormonal, lasted throughout my teens and was treated with medication. I used to get them in clusters so nothing at all and then a few weeks of every night where I ended up hospitalised.
I would choke, shake, I'd go rigid and lose all control. The worse they got I would lose my speech and wet myself. Mine were only ever at night.
Get yourself in to the doctor

Of course they can do something OP. Get a doctor's appointment urgently. Fits can be very dangerous.
