Can't sleep as worried about DH

My poor DH has been ill for about 8 weeks now and I can't sleep as I'm so worried. He had a "funny turn" at work and the Docs thought it might be angina as he had chest pain shooting into arm on exertion and his blood pressure was sky high. He was prescribed beta blockers, aspirin and nitroglycerine spray.

They arranged for him to see cardiologist and have ECG. The ECG showed normal sinus pattern but they have now asked him to attend an urgent CT scan on Monday where they are going to inject something into his veins at the same time.

All day today he's really struggled with chest pain and tiredness and just before bed he vomited, and he looks awful really pale and ill. He's chosen to sleep in spare room as he's not been sleeping well and has kept me awake but now I can't sleep anyway as I'm worried something will happen in the night and I won't know.

He's gone from being active and fit to barely being able to drive or walk a short distance in less then 2 months.

Just keeping you in a corner of my thoughts OP - hope you’re both ok Brew

Thank you everyone - sorry I'm only just replying.

I did get him to a and e in the end during the night, they believe it was angina attack (he told me at home he'd taken his spray for that when the pain started then admitted at hospital he hadn't actually taken it - I was not amused.)

They ran all kind of tests and he's still having the CT scan with dye on Monday, but I don't know what's going on as they also want to do liver scans and chest x-ray now and his white blood cell count is very high. I don't know if they are thinking it's something else too.

He's back at home as refused to stay in, and bit better in himself but there's something clearly not right as he's still in pain and is constantly cold and tired.

Thank you all again i will update once I know more xx

I'm glad he got seen to OP. Hopefully they'll find the cause and give the poor man some relief.

Look after yourself too!!

So glad he went to be checked.

It's good that they're looking into what's going on with him. Hopefully they'll have it under control very soon and he can start to recover.

Sending you a handhold lass.
