To pull or not to pull?

Dd hasn't eaten all day as her first top tooth is loose and hurts when she bites. it has dropped down slightly and as she has no overbite even if she tries to chew on her back teeth it jars her front. Tried spaghetti hoops, cottage cheese and jelly she is refusing anything in her mouth.
Should I just yank it out and get it over with, or let nature take it's course?
She has now gone to bed and I am wondering if it drops out now is she likely to swallow it or breath it back?

Nooooooooo. That's horrible. Don't pull it out.

ewwwwwwwwwwww, just leave it and keep checking on her

pull it - I would.

DD1 ate both her first two teeth to fall out. Had to keep writing to the tooth fairy to explain. Yes, you might lose it, but I couldn't bear to pull a tooth out.

Tempted to pull but she is asleep now. If it's still there in the morning I'm going to have to pull I think
pyjamaqueen 'DD1 ate both her first two teeth to fall out. Had to keep writing to the tooth fairy to explain' thats a good idea if it's awol in the morning, at least she can practise her handwriting as well

Leave it - believe it or not, it could actually take a couple of weeks before it's ready to come out, and it will hurt her if you pull it.

We had to do the note to the tooth fairy thing once, when dd swallowed a tooth - it won't hurt her if she swallows it (despite dd's concerns that it would bite her when it came out ).

Dont' pull!

Give smoothies and soup. Lots of children swallow their teeth and come to no harm.
