Late 30s PMT

Does anyone else out there have raging temperature variations, aching all over and stop/start periods in their late 30s. It is really annoying me - I am on max-strength Nurofen for about 3 days a month with these wretched aches and pains - also very emotional and struggle to keep myself in control. Anyone have any magic cures for these strange symptoms? Acupuncture has helped in the past but only for a couple of months at a time and it is pricey.

Where are your pains titch? Are the raging temperatures likely to be hot flushes? I really hope (for your sake and also because I'm older than you!) that it's not an early menopause.

Have you seen your GP?

Pains are all over - all joints hot and sore - even wrists and ankles. How can I find out if it is early menopause? I did tentatively mention all this about 12 months ago to my GP - he had me tested ofr arthritis etc - all clear. It is definately before my period - or rather as it stops and starts for about 4 days - I have a mini version around the middle of the month too. Maybe I should go back again...

some gp surgeries will send you to acupuncture on the nhs, ask around different surgeries maybe?

I'm ttc and having acupuncture.

No sign of a baby yet, but my periods are a dream - no pain, much less pmt, bloating etc.

I was feeling like absolute SHITE a few months ago - PMT that seemed to last for more than a week, crying, evil mood swings.

Acupuncture has been like a magic wand.

The other option is to go on the pill - they now say it's safe if you're older. I wouldn't want to take it even if I didn't want another baby, but it makes PMT much less bad and periods a lot lighter.
