Hi everyone,
If there’s anyone here with cardiology knowledge that could help me I would be so grateful...
I’m having an echo done end of the month as all my ecg’s show an incomplete right bundle branch block pattern. I’ve seen a few doctors, one thought he heard a murmur hence the cardiology referral, the other 2 did not seem to hear it.
Anyway... I’m panicking a bit as the consultant said my ecg could indicate a hole in the heart. He also picked up on an old 24hr monitor I had a few years ago that there were a few incidences of abnormal rhythm (I was never told this at the time!)
Has anyone had this bundle thing show up on an ecg and it was benign?
I know nobody can tell me for definite on the internet but I’m panicking a little
Thanks for any help - I’m 29 with no other medical history and the only symptom I’ve had to date is a few palpitations

When I was at uni, one of our projects was making an ECG monitor, and when my friend put it on, it showed she had a right bundle branch block. Tests showed she did have a tiny hole in her heart, but it didn't need any treatment, and had been there since she was born with no problems

Hi, I've got various cardiology problems and I'm actually recovering from my third pacemaker operation!

The echo will pick up if you have a hole in the heart and anything else they find. My hole was found when I was 6weeks old but I didn't need surgery until I was 30 years old. They will hopefully just monitor you and you will have to keep going back for yearly check ups. Its only when it starts to effect you in every day life that they will do anything and sometimes they can heal themselves.
Try not to worry X
