I'm going Into hospital on Monday for colon cancer surgery. Please help with your essentials that really helped.
So far I have -
Sleepwear and slippers
Sleep bras
Big comfy knickers
Toiletries
Tissues
Lip balm
Hand cream
Ear plugs
Purse with change
Notebook and pen
Kindle and charger
Phone charger
Magazines

My Dad was in hospital recently and lived having the BBC Sounds app on his phone. Live radio or podcasts to choose from. Great if you've not got the energy to read.

I am glad to hear that! Take it easy now and Get Well Soon. And don't be afraid to take all the painkillers you can get. Morphine is lovely.

Just waiting for catheter to be removed. Ended up with a NG tube due to ileus which has been pretty grim.
Just on paracetamol for pain. Home in next few days pending improvement x x
