Endo GP reluctant to prescribe NSAIDs but desperate for pain relief

I had endo on the bowel diagnosed and treated by a specialist gynae.

Since the surgery i have had several hospitalisations with queried appendicitis which have settled with regular painkillers bed rest and antisickness tablets. I have seen the consultant who has suggested declofinac suppositories to get into the bloodstream quickly and further surgery if things dont settle.

Unfortunately i feel i am there is a delay in getting the medication as the GP is relluctant to prescribe as feels the risk of kidney damage fromdeclofinac outweighs the benefit. At tjhe same time a period is about to start. I have taken paracetamol to keep ontop of pain relief, but am worried things may become unmanageable. Are the OOO likely to be able to help with painkillers without admitting me?

No niot yet spoken to the consultant. Enailed his secretary and hope to hear back.

Could not get a GP appointment again today, but have eaten some salted ricecakes and had some weak full sugar squash and am feeling better.

I am feeling a bit emotionally overwelmed with the difficulties in getting help.

From a medical point of view.

@ssunniebear hopefully you are in less pain than you were earlier.

Have you tried a TENs machine? Best thing I ever bought for my endo. Buys me time until the pain meds kick in.

I bought a Med-Fit 2 channel one, here so 4 pads meaning I can put two on my ovaries at the front and two on my lower back.

I can then hook up a front one with one back one on each side and have the pulses go through my body or connect the two front ones together and the two back ones together. My endo is all over my ovaries plus bowel and pouch of douglas.

I have found that some yoga positions help when the pain is very bad. I am not suggesting you do a yoga session just adopt one position. I find child's pose with a hot wheat bag wedged against my stomach helps.

I hope you manage to get sorted. This is no way to live is it? Flowers
