Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone on here has any advice for me and also tell me your experience of having glandular fever.

It all started for me last Oct when I came down with tonsillitis.. first time ever for me and at 37!! It went on for so long and drs said it is g fever. Not been the old me since. Got the flu really badly over Xmas and now I've got tonsillitis again. Body pains and fatigue are just the worst and when I feel I have a bit of energy n old me is back, I soon crash and I'm hurting and drained again.

What helped you?? As I'm taking multi vitamins but think I might need some higher dosage ones maybe .. I'm having painkillers every 4 hours too.

Aw I'm so sorry if I sounding like a right miserable whinge bag., I honestly am I fun happy person usually lol! Pre G Fever days.

Please share your stories and words of advice would be so appreciated xx

I had glandular fever that started after repeated bouts of tonsillitis. Honestly I don’t think there is anything magic you can do, aside from looking after yourself. So good food, no harm in extra vitamins and give your body what it needs which is plenty of rest and don’t feel bad if you have to take life at a slower pace for a while.

I had GF in my first year at uni (also after repeated tonsillitis). If I’m being honest, it was a good year before I was on top form again, though being a uni fresher I didn’t exactly take good care of myself!

Thankyou so much for your replies. Sounds like Tonsillitis is a trigger. I'm just going to take it Day by day. And long for my good days ha.

Xx
