Tonsil stones misery

I've been getting tonsil stones for the past 6 months and I'm miserable. Anyone else had these? Tried everything and nothing works. I have bought every removal product going with very little success and I've been gargling with salt water 2-3 times a day for months and still get them. I have a GP app next week as I can't live like this any longer, it's seriously impacting everything. I've lost a stone as I am not wanting to eat as my mouth tastes disgusting all the time and I feel them in my throat. I avoid talking to people and I am more or less mute when I'm in bed with my husband- I can't get close to anyone. I have always had excellent oral health so it just came out of the blue. I am going to ask GP for ENT referral and hoping they will remove my tonsils or laser them as I read that can be done. Please tell me someone else on here has experience of these awful stones and can advise

My GP told me to gargle with soluble aspirin a couple of times a day. Also to rinse my mouth after earpt8ng presumably to dislodge anything near them. I also rinse my mouth after using inhalers and they seem to have disappeared. They are awful and I sympathise with anyone who has them.

Still waiting on my ENT appointment - not sure how long it will take but not received any communication yet. I don't want to count my chickens before they have hatched BUT I have been taken an ACV capsule with each meal for the past four days and i can feel that the stones seem to have almost gone Shock the taste of metal has massively reduced and my breath no longer reeks. I can't quite bring myself to think that these tablets could been the answer.. I'll continue on and see what happens

I've had them since childhood and I hate it! I did go to the gp about it once years ago as it was really getting me down, even thinking about it is enough to make me throw up, he didn't know what it was and shrugged and sent me on my way! I used to get them all the time and would have had a tonsillectomy if I had the money but giving up dairy has massively reduced them, I think the last one I had was a year ago so it's worth looking into

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to say I've had my tonsils lasered since my last post (namechanged)and it's been so good. I honestly didn't realise how I'd suffered a 'sore throat' for ages until it was gone. It was done as an outpatient procedure and I had a spray on the back of my throat and then the ENT lasered them. It was very smelly (burning flesh) and was a weird sensation but I can honestly say not that painful. As the spray wore off I felt it more and he said I could come back next day but I said no as I wanted it all done as I was travelling two days later. I've had one more tonsil stone as they were healing and nothing since. It was healed in max five days and I'm so glad I did it.

Jut poking my head in here to say that I suffer from there but they stop or at least significantly lessen when I am exercising regularly, specifically when I am running a lot. I googled this a while back as I felt there must be a link and did find something about running helping to keep them at bay.
