So worried

I've got all the symptoms of Vulvar cancer and I am scared sick. I am waiting to see a doctor. I can't eat, sleep and I'm throwing up.

I am so terrified because I have two small children.

How do you cope when it's not just your life that could be affected.

So sorry Fru, no advise but I’m feeling the same. Convinced I have sonething nasty and I have two small children. I’m in bits every time I think about it and the implications for them. I hope that dr goes well and it’s it what you think x

*it isn't what you think

Aridane · 18/02/2019 13:22

Are the symptoms ones on common with some other conditions? When is your appointment?

FadedRed · 18/02/2019 13:27

FruHagen very worrying for you Flowers but if you are young enough to have two small children, then you would be very young to have vulval cancer, which is mostly a disease of much older and usually post menopausal women.
Would it help to describe the symptoms that are so worrying you. Maybe other women who have had similar symptoms might be able to give you some reassurance.

Thanks for your replies. I went to the doctor today and he examined me and declared it as a Bartholins cyst which he said was benign.

It's been bleeding because it is infected and has split slightly, so I am on antibiotics. I nearly cried with relief.

I had looked at it last night with a hand mirror and it looked just like cancer (pics I'd seen online). I never look down there after two horrible episiotomies so felt stupid that I didn't know what it looked like before.

So there's a few things that I promised myself that I would do if it was ok and they are - get regular smear tests, exercise more and not work so hard. Good advice for any woman I think Smile
