Fell down the stairs in an "arabesque"

Hi

This morning I put a bottle of bleach on the stairs for me to bring up next time I went up.

I took a basket of washing up, put it away, filled it up for the next load.

I forgot about the bottle of bleach and fell 2/3 of the way down, with one leg behind - in a ballet move, an arabesque.

We have no carpet on the stairs.

My foot is slightly swollen, my calf hurts. The initial pain made me sweat and feel faint.

Somehow I have taken a lot of suede off my Ugg boots.

Tonight, if I try to walk, it's so painful, it makes me cry. My ankle is hurting now too. The main pain in my foot is the arch and across my foot.

The top my foot is swelling up and the pain goes right up to my knee.

Could this just be muscular strain? I really dont what to be a hypochondriac and go to A and E.

A and E , you may have damaged yourself in the fall

Sorry, I think you need to get that looked at.

It could be just a muscular strain, but equally you may have done something more serious.

Hope you are Ok. This is why l always have carpets on stairs.

Yes A&E

Be prepared for a long wait though my longest waits with DS were 5 hours for a broken leg and 4 hours for a broken arm

That sounds like something that does need looking at, I'd go to A&E

No benefit from going tonight.

Find your local minor injuries tomorrow am.

Or get a gp appointment, they can sometimes refer straight to radiology so you won't have to wait so long.

Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation
In the meantime.

Hope you're back on your feet soon!
