Cough that won't go away..

Have seen GP, he has no idea!
I have had a cough since October. Had two lots of (different) antibiotics, no effect.
I have had a chest X-ray-clear
No temp, but fatigue is excessive..
I have Chrons disease and am on infliximab and azathioprine.
It is a horrendous barking cough, which comes on at any time, and sounds like I'm choking!

Anyone any ideas?

Reflux or post nasal drip possibly. It’s good that the X-ray was clear.

I was going to suggest silent reflux too

Yep reflux. I coughed for a year and they tried everything and nothing worked or showed any results. Then they put me on a high dose of Omeprazole and I stopped almost overnight. Losing weight helped too but I can't come off them without the cough coming back so far. Hoping to lose more weight and come off sometime but side effects are not as bad as coughing (and not sleeping). Good luck!

Silent reflux? How would I solve that? Already on 20mg daily of omeprazole..
Someone yesterday said I sounded like I have whooping cough..bloody Hope not!

They tried me on that first and then a year later doubled the dose in desperation

My friend had this and eventually they discovered she was having an allergic reaction to one of her mediciations. Took a while to diagnose. Stopped the meds, solved the issue.
