Getting rid of verrucas

Hey everyone, I just wanted to send a message about what happened with my verrucas and how to get rid of them if anyone has got them.
So I had a couple of them for a year or two and got them treated at the doctors and they eventually went away but then I got about 4 more on my other foot. I went to the doctors a couple of times but it didn't make a difference. They have gone away now after having them for about 4 or 5 years and these are the methods I used:

  • For a couple of weeks, I put salicylic acid gel on them every two or three nights which helped a bit but damaged the skin around the verrucas.
  • I used a variety of freezing kits like the ones they use at the doctors but they didn't really help as I had already had the verrucas for a while and they didn't respond to having them frozen at the doctors.
  • For a while, I tried putting cotton wool soaked in apple cider vinegar on them overnight (stuck down with elastic bandage tape) which worked really well however I stopped doing it after a month or two.
  • I tried putting duct tape on them but it didn't make any difference.
  • I tried filing them down with a pumice stone or foot file after putting salicylic acid gel or vinegar on them overnight and it looked like it helped but I think it was just getting rid of dead skin

I couldn't post the whole message in one so here's the rest:

Anyway, after using all these different methods for 3 or 4 years I stopped for about 5 months and recently I looked at my feet and realised that they were all gone! I don't know if it was a combination of all the things I used on them or if it was just time that got rid of them, but they've gone now so if you've got a verruca that won't go, don't worry because it will eventually, it just takes time. If you are putting something on them or doing something else to get rid of them, stick with it because it will get rid of them eventually. I never used one for long enough to find out if it actually works and I think that using them for a little bit of time and then again a while later meant that they got used to the treatment and became immune to it so if you are using something, don't give up! Hope this helps anyone struggling to get rid of them! ❤️😄
