Could this NOT be bowel cancer?

There’s been blood in my stool for the past few weeks, and for the past week I have also been in constant pain in my lower abdomen, which only gets better at night. I’ve lost my appetite and think I’ve lost weight. I’m more tired than usual, still feeling shattered after 9 hours of sleep. Waiting for GP test results and have been referred to gastro.

My question is, is there anyone out there who’s had all these symptoms and it turned out NOT to be bowel cancer (or another kind of cancer)? I have a 1yo DC.

Also grateful for replies if you were diagnosed with bowel cancer and have a young child. How are you coping?

Thanks Bear

As I understand it no dx has been made yet and the symptoms continue .
.Dulce your point has already been made on the cancer thread. It can be difficult when joining a long running thread to to fully appreciate the cicumstances of long time posters and also to gauge the correct tone/language to use .

@babayagga have they tested you for helicobacter or 'H Pylori' ??

My point was on the exaggeration and saying things "goodbye cruel world" when she had already been told it was most likely UC.
And I believe the OP has given an update confirming it is indeed piles.

perdito it’s not often I disagree with you but I think the title of that thread is clear enough, and that wasn’t an opening post it was after a fair bit of interaction

@dulcedelecherocks Nice to see you- thank you for coming over to post here. I have stopped sharing my symptoms on MN as doing so seems petty in the company of people with confirmed dx. I am also a cancer survivor, and prognosis for recurrence in my type of cancer tends to be very poor. The words that offended you were not commendable, but they were written in a moment of terror and not used lightly. You won’t see them on the cancer thread again - though I reserve the right to post on my own thread without being censored! Smile
