I'm so embarrassed.
Usually a sporner but this is way out of my comfort zone

Acute painful swelling downstairs and I googled it and now I'm feeling very alarmed.

You know those silly people who are ridiculously embarrassed about bodily functions at the best of times? Who won't poo away from home or go to the gp with anything, that's me.

I need to make an appointment and I think it'll need a minor op and my brain is already racing ahead to potential continence issues in the future etc

Brief update, had the op today and survived Smile
Turns out that embarrassment is not fatal, thank fuck. Feel tired and ropey and sore but should be OK. More buttock than actual arse apparently so that made me feel a bit better for some reason.

I really appreciated the moral support Flowers

oh buttock...you can say that in a Forrest Gump fashion...never mind Cissy and the bosom hoiking.

Hope you do feel well enough to malinger at home nicely, and I really think the Butt-ock implant is the story to go with when you are back in polite society. :o

Am not yet feeling well enough to enjoy the time off, am on proper painkillers (wheeeeeee) and having to go to the surgery daily for it to be packed and redressed Sad it's not very nice. And very ouchy.
But hopefully be a bit more on the mend by next week.

hurrah for the good pankillers but boo for the nasty other end. Have you got a nice box set to watch? Netflix?? and a nice nurse to tend to you??

you'll be well up to speed on AIBU by sunday teatime!

Just thought I'd update in case anyone else has one. It's a week today since my op and I'm still having daily dressings, absorbant ones being packed into the hole. It's a lot less sore now but I'm still off work. I've also had a post op infection (not in the wound though)

So now half the town has seen my bum but everyone has been lovely and kind.
