Constantly tired eyes?

Hello, I wonder if anyone could suggest what the problem is here. Yes, I will go to the Doctor's in due course, but I am busy for the next two weeks.

For the past 3 weeks, my eyes have felt tired. They haven't been painful, but they seem drowsy all day. They feel like they need to be rubbed. I have tried eye drops, and they seem to work for about twenty minutes or so.

I don't wear glasses and never have. I rarely wear make-up, so it isn't an allergy either.

In general, my whole self has had a bit less energy too. I'm not sure if they're related.

I should add, there has been no discharge and my tears seem normal

Yes I do. When I think about it I use Natural tears eye drops from Boots. They really do help.

You could try an ophthalmologist, you’ll find one on any high street. Mine always explains she has years more training than a doctor when it comes to eyes, and she has awesome eye testing machines. I hope you find an answer.

Try really strength fish oil capsules. They really really help my eyes when I get like this

You need an optician, not a GP. They will check not just your vision but the general health of your eyes and can recommend supplements or drops for your dry eyes

Another vote for opticians not the GP. They'll be much better placed to advise on eye health.
