Daughter is 5 and not vaccinated - how to fix this before school?

So our daughter is 5 and will be starting kindergarten in August but we've encountered an issue.

I was a teenager when I had her and came from an anti-vax household. I didn't know what I was doing so of course I took the (misleading) advice from my parents. Now, my wife and I want to make sure she has all of her required vaccinations before school starts, but we're not sure where to start. When I search online about it I either get directed to discourse around the topic or to the CDC's recommended plan, which starts from infancy, and of course my problem is I'm 5 years behind.

We currently do not have health insurance for mostly work-related reasons so she has no practitioner. We also just moved states about 5 months ago. From what we've learned, we can possibly find a free clinic or something of the like, but I wanted to see what advice other mothers could offer us who have been through the same thing or something similar. How long does it take to get all of these? Are there any she can't get at this age? Where do we start?

We're just two young moms trying to get our child's health back on track so she's not vulnerable. Thank you for your time if you respond.

It sounds like you are in the US--if so, you would be eligible for the Vaccines For Children program (free or low-cost vaccines) www.cdc.gov/features/vfcprogram/. AI don't live in the US, but I hope this helps!

Even if the adults aren´t insured, surely there is insurance available for the child? It actually might not be a bad idea to call your zoned school and ask them. The school nurse may be able to help direct you to services that can help.

The public school can direct you to the county or parish health department. There is free/affordable care for children birth to 14 years old. The Health Department will start your child on the schedule and will provide documents that will enable you to register her in school. Even if she has not caught up with all vaccinations for her age she can still attend as long as she is on the schedule.

The age isnt an issue. All should be able to be given.
But, most need to be spaced - typically at least a month apart for initial boosters. So you need to get started sooner rather than later.
I like the school nurse idea.
Or are there primary care centres or something similar about you?
Well done thinking about getting her vaccination status corrected.
