Do I need to expect a high temp from first jabs?

My DS is having his first jabs late (he’ll be 12 weeks) because he was hospitalised with broncholitis when he was meant to have them previously.
He’s having them on Wednesday.
I know the meningitis jab is supposed to cause a fever.
Did other babies have a very high temp? What else should I expect?

A mild fever is normal and part of the immune response which is the body responding as expected and desired to the vaccine. As nurses we don't recommend giving calpol before the vaccines now but if your baby is uncomfortable after the vaccine then feel free to give a dose as per the instructions on the packaging. All my 3 were fine after all theirs and I've vaccinated hundreds of babies and not had any reported problems. Don't worry Thanks

I don't think they info is true now that Men B is given in the first injections. They now advise that doses of paracetamol are given routinely after this particular jab

www.nhsinform.scot/healthy-living/immunisation/vaccines/meningitis-b-menb-vaccine#after-the-vaccine this says 3 doses should be given after Men B jab at 8 and 16 weeks. May not be required at the jab at 1 year
