Pain in bladder in morning

Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me a clue. I fairly recently moved abroad, and am unsure of the health system here, so am trying to find out if this is something to worry about and therefore investigate or not.

For the past 5/6 months I have found that I need to urinate more frequently at night. I used to be able to sleep through without a problem, now I am up usually 2/3 times. Usually very little urine. When I wake in the morning, the centre of my pelvis, up to my diaphragm, and back (but only centre) is painful for an hour or so.

Daytime is the same as it always has been. No real change in diet, other than the move of countries, but similar alcohol/water consumption. I exercise regularly and am female, late 30s.

Thank you

Cystitis? How much alcohol do you drink?

You need to see a doctor.

Thank you. I drink a fair amount if alcohol - probably 2/3 g&t 3/4 tines a week.

Seeing a doctor is going to be really tricky so I can only go if its necessary.

You unquestionably need to see a doctor, to rule out serious underlying illnesses. Especially as it's been going on for 5-6 months.

Commonest things are commonest, and in all likelihood it will be something easily treatable / non-serious, but there are some nasties that have persistent, low-grade symptoms like this that you need to get checked for.

I don't even know how to arrange an appointment! Ok, thanks, I will try to figure that out.

Pain and more frequent urination could be symptoms of bladder cancer. It's probably not but you need to be seen, however difficult that is. What you are experiencing is not normal and needs investigation.
