I think my 7 month dd has this viral condition. It started about 6 weeks ago with a tiny cluster of what looked like water blisters. Thought it was chickenpox at first but the doc said it wasn't. Anyway it's gradually getting worse, she has clusters on her arms, torso and armpits. saw a thread on mumsnet and then went to look for pictures on the net. Have read about what they are and that most doctors will do nothing- have read that they eventually go away of their own accord but just wondered
there may be someone out there with a miracle cure.
am going to take her to baby clinic next week to have diagnosis but i'm pretty certain that's what it is. it's causing her no discomfort but i want to do something before it gets worse.

I tried Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream on my 5 year old dd and they disappeared within weeks. Thanks agaian to whoever told me about it in the first place
Not sure if you can use it on a 7 month old.
My ds who had them before my dd took about 1 year to clear up totally

Good luck I know how awful they are.

my ds1 had these and a course of echiniccea (can't spell it!) got rid of them but I'm not sure about it for a 7 month old

Another vote for Eliazebeth Arden 8 hour cream. I applied it to my 12 year olds chest and they went painlessly within a couple of weeks. He was thrilled and now thinks I'm some sort of witch!

Thanks for the replies. Will ask GP about Eliz Arden cream. Don't really want to surgically remove them as they'll hurt her and as it's not bothering her there's no point. I'm very concerned though that she'll still have them when she's older and she'll get teased. Everything I've read says that once they've had them and it's totally cleared it won't come back. Is this true? I was plagued by warts on my hands for years and don't want the same for dd. What I've read says that it's spread by skin to skin contact or swimming pools. Anyone know anything about this. She's had no contact with anyone who has this but I have taken her swimming about 5 times.
