i would appreciate any advice on which is better, normal pill or mini pill? i have never been on either before. have been seeing new bloke a few months now and we have been using withdrawal but after we had sex today i was pretty sure there was come there so have taken the morning after pill.he doesn't want more kids so there was no way i was going to take any chances as i am on day 9 of a 25 day cycle.not wanting me to fall pregnant has been affecting his wanting sex so i need to get things back on track!!

any advice would be great.thanks.

umm no don't think so if you're sure you aren't pregnant already. It may not be effective straight away though. What did family planning doctor say? There's more detail on the link I posted under progestotone only pill/ How do I start the POP?

regretting taking morning after pill now.i've got a pain in my side.i know it's way too early to have symptoms of an ectopic but what's the likelehood? how much does the risk increase when you've taken map?

i took it within 4 hours - would that make it less likely to be ectopic if it's failed??

only just seen this TM - not sure of answer - but it says this on fp website on the emergency contracption bit:
'do go and see a doctor or nurse if:

you think you may be pregnant
your next period is more than seven days late
your period is shorter or lighter than usual
you have any sudden or unusual pain in your lower abdomen.
These could be signs of an ectopic pregnancy ? a pregnancy that occurs outside the womb, usually in a fallopian tube. Although this is not common, it is very serious.'
Have you had an ectopic pregnancy before?
