What is this? Alcohol related (I think!)

I am not a huge drinker, I don't ever drink to the point of being drunk and certainly never enough to not be 100% on control of myself. No judgment on those that do, I'm a control freak and couldn't handle it.

I do however have a g+t at the weekends, usually one, sometimes 2.

A couple of weeks ago I had a work night out and had 2 drinks and the rest was plain tonic water, I felt great, got home, fell asleep, woke up 15 mins later shaking uncontrollably and feeling so unwell. Then threw up and passed out on the floor. Woke up the next morning feeling a bit ropey but generally ok.

The next couple weeks pass by with no issues. Then last night I have my 2 Gin and tonics, have a bath, fall asleep and again wake up with the shakes so bad, vomited and passed out.

Am I developing an intolerance to gin? 😱

Of course it could be coincidental but the g+t is the only thing that is consistent with the 2 incidents.

I ate well both times the same as everyone else so I don't think it was hinkey food related.

Tonic makes me feel ill these days.

As for hormones, I'm due to see the women's health dr at our surgery because I have been getting worse every month with PMT, constant thrush, spotting and and my periods have gone from being clockwork to being either a week early or late. Certainly a lot to think about.

Do you get pain when you have codeine?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 27/12/2018 23:43

Any possibility of you being diabetic?

MissSmiley · 28/12/2018 11:45

If no pain then I think you've developed an intolerance to alcohol
