Are the doctors the only people who can issue the contraceptive pill?

I want to change mine, but it's such a long process trying to get an appointment at my doctors. Is there anywhere else I can go that will be able to prescribe them?

Sexual health clinics can issue contraception.

Or you can privately order it from a pharmacy like Superdrug but you have to pay.

Maybe a local sexual health clinic?

I think most sexual health clinics can? Some nurses have an additional qualification for prescribing contraception. Often practice nurses can do it too so you may be able to see the nurse at your GP if that's quicker

I think a nurse practitioner can. It might be easier to get an appointment with them rather than a gp.

Sexual health clinics. You can book online or call. Find it so much easier than attempting to wait for a nurse let alone a doctor at my local GP.
